Today is the kids' first day back to school and we were all so sad that the Christmas break was over. We decided to try something new and went to Hawaii for a week. It was so incredible to be in such fabulous weather in the dead of Winter, with none of the holiday hustle and bustle. We had been looking forward to going for quite some time. Though we stayed in HI at the Hilton Waikaloa for a few days, the highlight of the trip was the five days we spent at Disney's Aulani in Oahu. Absolutely incredible resort with so much to do for the entire family. I could go on about the fabulousness of Aulani for days, but I won't bore you with the details. It was so wonderful, we decided that we would make the trip a new Christmas tradition.
I was inspired to create my layout by the Start of Something New Challenge at Once Upon A Sketch, Wish Upon a Star challenge over at ScrapFIT, and Simon Says Stamp where the challenge is New Something. My layout was created using Pink Paislee's She Art patterned paper and the oh-so-cool santa in shorts and flip flops is part of the Stamp-It Australia Worldly Santas stamp set. I colored him using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers CR7, CR9, CR11, CT1, CT3, CT4, TN5, TN8, IG1, CG1, CG2,FS2, and FS3.
As we start the new year, so many of us have made New Year's resolutions or changes in our lives. One of my resolutions this year is to create at least two layouts a month. Looks like I am on my way :)
Have a wonderful day and be sure to stop by tomorrow. I have a cool three-dimensional tutorial to share with you.
