Scrap your Stash

Okay ladies, this is just a reminder to start working on those posts.  How did you do?  Did you rock the challenge or fail absymally?  LOL.  Probably most people fell somewhere in between.   What stash did you use up?  Were you concentrating on using up a certain type of product or line?  On March 1st (Tuesday) I will list everyone's blog so that we can visit one another.  So have you post up on March 1, so you can get some friendly encouragement :)  The new sign-ups will go up then too.

Happy Scrapin'!

Sweet Baby Girl

I think the Smitten Collection by Sassafras Lass is sooo pretty.  My bff Stacy sent me a surpirse package and this collection was in it.  She is such a sweetheart!!!  Everything I used in my layout is from Smitten with the exception of the beautiful three dimensional flowers and bird.  They are from Jacque's shop Detailed 4 U Collections.  I used the sketch from Get Picky again.

How everyone is having a great weekend :)

Flaunt it Friday's Challenge

It's Friday and it's time for another cool Cricut challenge at Flaunt it Fridays.  For this week's challenge we are asking you to make something with the TAGS,BAGS, BOXES & MORE cartridge and the cut choice this week is Match2 (Box), page 65. You can create anything you want and for an extra challenge try to challenge yourself to create something different from last week's project. If you do not own this cart feel free to use any BOX or BAG from any cartridge, you have one week to enter the challenge.

I do not have this cart (or own a gypsy, gasp!) but I do have the cartridge Wrap it Up.  This fun cartridge has a ton of gorgeous images and a box feature so that I had a lot of various boxes to choose from.  Since Father's day is somewhat on the horizon, I decided to use the tie box on the cartridge (page 60).

It looks big in the photo but it actually measures  3 3/4 x 5 3/4 (to handle).  Just perfect for a gift card to Home Depot :)  I hope you will be flaunting it with us this week.  For this month's prize, one person will win a Cricut Expression Dust Cover Sponsored by Raven LOVE 4 STAMPS, Raven also makes custom order dust covers and has an Etsy Shop HERE

This will be my last post for the next couple of month for Flaunt it Fridays.  If you can believe it, I don't have a single cartridge that they are using for March and April!  So bummed!!  You'd think I would have had at least a couple.  Oh well, maybe I'll win the lottery and do some major shopping.  LOL.

I hope everyone's weekend is wonderful.  I'm planning on visiting some blogs this weekend and seeing what some of you are up to.  With the weather being so bad in many places, I bet there is some serious crafting going on :) We have some plans to hit Chuck E Cheese with the kids.  Nothing says I love you like suffering through a visit to Chuck E Cheese.  LMAO!

Graphic 45 Design Team Application

Hey gals,

You know how much I love Graphic 45's beautiful collections.  When I saw their Design Team Call (click here for details), I knew I had to throw my hat in the ring.  How amazing would it be to design with their gorgeous collections, some even before they came out to our local scrapbook stores?!  Talk about dream design team!  So this post is a compendium of my Graphic 45 projects that I am submitting for my consideration.  Cross your fingers for me... :)

Time Flies

Steampunk Debutante is such wicked cool paper.  I used it for a card sketch at Papercraft Star.  Every thing on the card is from Graphic 45, with the exception of the lace and circular Artisian frame from Pink Paislee.  I inked it with Tim Holtz' Vintage Photo ink to give it an aged look.

I am entered my card into the following challenges:
Papercraft Star - card sketch
Creative Cutter - G45

Exciting News and blog candy

I was approached a couple of days ago and asked to design for Crafter's Companion!  I can't even begin to tell you how flattered I am and how much I can't wait to get started.  They are well known for their Ultimate Crafter's Companion tool and well as one of a kind gorgeous stamps.  Not to mention they carry every thing from Copics to adhesive.  They are creating their first ever design team for their blog and I want to generate some new followers for them.  In the near future, they will be blogging about their products, giving away prizes, and in general, strutting their stuff.  So in celebration of being asked to their new design team, I thought I'd celebrate with some blog candy for my followers.  Just leave a comment letting you know you follow me and you'll be entered to win the following blog candy.  Want another entry to win this?  Just become a follower of Crafter's Companion and leave me another comment.  That's it.  No blogging neccessary :)  If you want to blog about it or put it in your sidebar, that's awesome, leave another comment.

It has rubons, vellum tags, bling, stamps, stickers, and a gorgeous Cookie Lee Bracelet which retails for $44.  My lovely assistant was VERY interested in the bracelet and offered to try it in for you ;)

Thanks for celebrating with me.  I'll pick a winner via on March 21st.

I Played around with Graphic 45's Once Upon a Springtime again while using a sketch from Get Picky!  There's something so sweet about children sleeping.  Maybe because it is the only time they aren't moving and look so peaceful :)  The banner was cut out from the Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge and Dream was cut from the Storybook cartridge.  I sprayed the banner w/ adhesive and added some iridescent glitter for a little sparkle.

I am entering my layout in the following challenges:

Get Picky - Sketch
Flutter by Wednesday - Use a fairy, butterfly, or Angel
Creative Cutter - Graphic 45

Well, our washing machine had to be retired and we got a new one today.  Anyone want to lend a hand with piles of laundry?  No?!  Me either, lol.  Being the menace that I am, I back my van right into the empty box that was holding the new washer.  Doh!!  (Homer Simpson voice).  I banged the dent right out of it and off I went to pick up Nick.   He he he.  Hey at least it was only box...  :)

I also wanted to share what Prima sent to me for posting about their January Prima Picks.

The pictures a little dark, but you get the idea.  So loving them!  There are lots of beiges.  Is it just me or is it hard to open their gorgeous flowers.  I almost hate to use them.  Almost!

Have a great night everyone!

Undeniable Love

This month's challenge over at  Scrap Our Stash is to make something having to do with "love".   I decided this was the perfect time to make a layout of my hubby.   We have been married 11 and half years and he is the love of my life.  I took the picture when we were eating on a pier in the Bahamas.  We were celebrating our 11th anniversary.  I used Prima paper, as well as lots of flowers from both Prima and Petaloo.  I also used a beautiful metal accent from Creative Imaginations.  It was originally silver, so I used Ranger's watermelon alcohol ink to make it red.  Chris was tickled when I showed him the layout :)  I just love his smile.  Have you entered the Love challenge over at Scrap Our Stash?

I am entering my layout in the following challenges:

Studio L3 - Altered Metal alcohol inks
Gaby Creates 1st year linking party - Love

I decided to take on Bobunny's layout challenge this weekend, as well as Getty Criky's A to Z challenge.

The pictures are of Lara reading one of her baby books.  She shows me a picture of the babies, and I ask her, "What is it?"  She says, "Nakie Baby"  and laughs hysterically!  Funniest book she's ever read :)  I love listening to her laughter.

Every thing I used in this layout is from Bobonny with the exception of the burgandy cardstock I used to mat the pictures with (Bazzill) and the ABC stamps (Close to my Heart).  The blocks were cut from the Wrap it Up Cricut cartridge.   I am entering my layout in the following challenges: - sketch
Incy Wincy Designs - dies or stamps

Thanks for taking a look :)

I found two awesome giveaways you'll want to enter.  Cindy over at Scrapping Room is having a fabulous giveaway for her followers!

You can check it out here.

Coffee Anyone?

I am a totally coffee addict.  My brain just won't focus until I've have a cup in the morning.  Which is why I love leisurely weekends where I can get up with the kids and sip several cups.  While drinking my cup of joe this morning, I decided I would work on Cricut Cardz challenge which was to use a cup image.  I had the perfect cut... the Mad Hare!  It is from the Cricut cartridge Disney classics.

The cut has a LOT of pieces!   I added a doily, some white marker, and purple rhinestones which I added with my Irock.  I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Cricut Cardz Challenge - Cricut cup image
Crazy 4 Challenges - use a die
Dutch Dare card challenges - Sparkle, glitter, bling

Hope everyone is having a great morning :)

Graphic 45 bookmarks and a new Flaunt it Friday challenge

Graphic 45's Le Romantique collection has such beautiful vintage images that I decided to make a couple of bookmarks out of it last week.  I used my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for the tag and my Xyron 850 to laminate them.  I then added a large eyelet, some fibers, and beads.  Quick and beautiful.  I made one for Nicholas' teacher and one for his school's librarian.  I should have made an extra for myself.  I love how they turned out!

I also wanted to share Flaunt it Fridays new challenge.  We want you to flaunt something with the FOREVER YOUNG cartridge and the cut choice this week is Model 1, Emblem (Silhouette feature) on Page 24 .  You can see some gorgeous examples here.   I hope you have time to give it a try during this three day weekend.

Have a great Friday!

Vintage Beach Card

Today's card is Graphic 45 again, but this time I used the On the Boardwalk Collection.  I love the vintage papers in it.  It makes me think about the Santa Monica Pier with its Ferris Wheel and Ruby's Diner in Newport Beach.

The clear plastic tags are Tim Holtz's and the beautiful vintage eyelets are from Creative Charms.  Speaking of Creative Charms, they are celebrating 1000 followers on facebook.  You might want to head over there and take a look.

What a way to start the day!

I am just about jumping out of my skin this a.m.  I was up early and went to check out today Prima's post.  And saw that I won their January Prima Pallette!!!  Yes!!!!!!!!!!  I can't even describe how exstatic I am.  I had to share as I knew you guys would totally understand my euphoria.

They do a giveaway like this every month, so if you aren't entering it, you definitely should!

Once Upon a Springtime

Like most kids, my children love forts, playhouses, and other cool places where they can imagine all sorts of great adventures.  I took these shots of my kids playing in Lara's house and the colors were perfect for Graphic 45s Once Upon a Springtime.  I got booted out immediately after climbing inside to get a closer picture.  LOL.

I used Stickles to add a little bling and popped out all sorts of flowers, fairies, and rabbits.  I made two brads with my I-Top to complete the layout.  Once Upon a Springtime is definitely my favorite collection of Graphic 45s right now.  I love everything about it.   I am entering my card over at  Simon Says Stamp Challenge where their challenge is to make your own embellishments.

I had a little extra time to scrap today as our washing machine broke.  No laundry for me :)  Next week it'll be another matter, as we couldn't get some one out until Monday.

Have a good one,

Hugs (and a giveaway)

After taking the picture of Nick holding Lara, I couldn't wait to scrap it.  I pulled out Bella Blvd's Lovey Dovey line for it.  The colors were perfect.  I used the February sketch from PageMaps.   Love this sketch!

I also used some gorgeous felt embellishments from Detailed4U Collections.  They come already blinged out, glittered and with 3 dimentional tape on the back which I love.   Since I love these and I have some extra of these gorgeous embellishments, I am giving away a few away.  Just head over to Detailed4U Collections and tell me what you like best and then let me know here.  That's it.  I know Jacque would get a kick out of that :)

I'll have the Random Generator pick a name next Tuesday :)

Hope everyone is having a great week.  Everyone is my house is getting over bronchitis (again) and the kids and I are fighting over the nebulizer, lol.  Anyone else sooo ready for Spring?

Graphic 45 Valentine's Day cards

I saw two great card sketches today and pulled out my Graphic 45 paper to make a couple Valentine's Day cards.  On the first one I used A Proper Gentleman.  The card sketch is from Sketch and Stash Challenge blog.  The envelope was cut from my Cricut Sweethearts cartridge.

The second one I made I used the Le Romantique collection.  The sketch for this one is from Wild Orchid Challenge blog.  The heart was also cut from the Sweethearts cartridge and the i love you heart stamp and solid heart stamp are from Close to my Heart.

I hope everyone has a great day, whether you celebrate Valentine's Day or not.  We always avoid the crowds and will be having a romantic pizza with the kids ;)

I'll be back tomorrow to pick my winner for the Flaunt it Friday blog hop :)

Welcome to the Flaunt It Friday's Paper Doll Dress Up Blog Hop. If you are here from Sharon's blog at MeeMees Creations than you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go directly to the  Flaunt It Fridays blog. For this week's challenge we were asked to flaunt the Raggety Ann on Page 37 from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge.

For my project I altered a clipboard that I found at the dollar store.  I inked up all the edges with red ink and brown paint.  I then used Helmar's 450 to adhere Graphic 45's A Proper Gentleman paper to the clipboard.  I cut out both the Raggety Ann and Andy from the cart and adhered them to the bottom of the clipboard.

For my second project we got to choose any cut from the Paper Dolls cartridge.  I thought the leprechaun on page 40 was so cute, so I decided to make a fun card with him.   The shamrock was also cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up cart.

Make sure to leave comments on all of the stops along the blog hop to be elligible to win the Grand Prize Giveaway on Janis' Blog.  She is giving away the Wide Eyed Kids Assortment Stamp Set Sponsored by Peachy Keen Stamps.

I am also giving out the following blog candy for one of my followers who comment below.

In it is Amaranth Clear Stamps by Prima, Pocket of Treats by Nikki Silvis, and chipboard by Li'l Davis Designs.

The Paper Doll Dress Up blog hop will run all weekend long and I will chose the winner for my blog candy on Tuesday, February 15th.

Thank You so much for taking the time to hop with us for the Flaunt It Friday's Paper Doll Dress Up Blog hop.  We can't wait to see how you "Flaunt" your Raggedy Ann this week at Flaunt It Fridays

Your NEXT STOP is the talented Saundra at Luv Scrapping Together.

Have fun hopping!

Flaunt those lips

This week at Flaunt it Fridays we are flaunting the lips on the Indie Art cartridge.  I made a card for this challenge.  It's a perfect cut for Valentine's Day.  I hope you'll join us in this week's challenge.
