Hello crafters! It's time for a new sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme. For September's sketch I used a photo that my sister took using Snapchat. I'm not usually a huge fan of social media, but I sure enjoyed the fun effects she made using the app in this picture. I used lots of beautiful gold accents to go along with the photo.
It's time for another great sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme! Did you know they have new sketches every week? This month, if you play along, you'll have a chance to win this fabulous set of stamps from Close to My Heart.
Here is this week's sketch made by Shawn Lahr:
For my take on her sketch, I used photos from our trip last month to St. Barts. This was the gorgeous view from our villa.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you will play along with us!
It's time for another awesome sketch challenge from Sketches In Thyme! I used this month's sketch to make a layout of a trip we took to Orlando with friends. Here are all the kids hamming it up by the lazy river. They were having so much fun!
I did faux stitching around the white clouds and inked up my paper and embellishments in turquoise to add a little more color to the background. It's that camera embellishment adorable? It's huge!
Here is the original sketch. Give it a try and enter it to win a gift certificate to the The Scraproom! I love The Scraproom and get two of their monthly kits.
This summer is just flying by! I can't believe it's already July. It's been so beautiful here and we are definitely taking of advantage of the nice weather. Today I have a layout featuring my daughter last summer, enjoying the waves in Malibu. We love spending time there with friends and family.
This collection is Bobunny's Make a Splash collection. I just love the cut little penguins in it. The page came together very quickly.
Good morning, friends. Today I have a beautiful sketch from Sketches in Thyme to share with you.
I used the sketch to scrap a picture of my lovely daughter. I just love her smile in this picture. This was taken right after she got her braces on. She was so happy to get them on. I think it made her feel like a big kid.
Make sure to try the Sketches In Thyme sketch challenges this month. You could win a Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions Circle Cutter and surprise bonus gift.
This rainbow of a scrapbook page was inspired by Scrapbook & Cards Magazine. I absolutely love the colors and it was a great way to use up leftover washi tape and ribbon. I also added a few flowers and bling to it.
I love the memory behind the picture. The day was the first day of school, last September. My friends and I met for coffee immediately after dropping off our kids to their various schools. I am so glad I have this picture to scrapbook, as I will mostly likely not be able to attend this year, due to working. But there are always other events and get togethers, so it's all good. It's ironic that I finally scrapped the picture and posted it with only three days left in the school year.
Today I have a quick and easy layout I created of my husband and daughter. The pictures are of when my husband came back from a business trip. Even though he had only been gone a few days, you can see how happy our daughter was to see him. It was such a sweet moment.
Because the paper I used for the page was very busy, I kept my embellishments at a minimum and let the photos do the talking. I layered a few balloons in the left corner using foam adhesive tape. I also tuck two small doilies behind the photos.
Good morning, crafters. Today I have a card kit to share with you. It's called 'So Loved Valentine Card Kit' by Photoplay.
This was such a fun and easy kit to put together, and there were even some leftover paper and stickers once it was done. These would be great for valentines day, but I plan to use them throughout the year.
Good morning, scrapbookers! It's time for another fabulous sketch challenge at Sketches in Thyme. I used this week's sketch to scrap a couple of pictures of my darling husband.
I love how the red washi tape is transparent and shows the black hearts of the background paper. The picture of him on a balcony was at the Beverly Hilton, a gorgeous and famous hotel in Beverly Hills. We were lucky enough to stay there one night, while my dad watched the kids.
Here is the sketch for this challenge created by Brenda Ragsdale. I just loved it.
If you enter this layout challenge, you can win a $30 gift card to Creative Embellishments. Link up your projects here.
I can't believe another year of school is coming to a close. I think it's bittersweet, but the kids are so excited for summer to start; we always have so much fun. Today's layout is of my daughter's first day of school last September.
My daughter (on the left) was so excited to have one of her bffs in her class. What a smile!
