This is as good as it gets.

Good morning, scrappers.  Today I have a layout featuring my two darling children standing in front of our Christmas tree last year.  Although we often like to travel during the holidays, we decided to stay home last year.  It was such a really wonderful time and allowed us to spend lots of quality time together and focus on one another.  Just looking at this photo of them makes me feel so happy :)  This  year I am going to try to record all the fun by doing a December Daily mini album.  (Thank you Stacy for encouraging me to make one.)

The card on the left reads, "Dear Santa, I don't need anything. I already have an amazing family and beautiful life."  I am so very blessed. Life IS beautiful!

Have a great day!

Give Thanks

One of my favorite things to do in Fall, is to attend Scrap Society's Give Thanks crop with the Scrapbook Divas.  We have a blast chatting, playing games, and of course, scrapbooking.  I just love the turkey leg headbands that we all wore that day.  One of my besties, Stacy, got one for everyone.  So funny! This layout is of last year's crop.  You can see the schedule of events on the right side of the layout.  The turkey dinner was amazing! The little tag at the bottom of the layout was a make-and-take that we created that day.

Now that last year's layout is done I need to get to work on this year's photos.  They make include wearing a turkey costume...LOL. Hope you all are having a lovely day!

Hello crafters! It's time for a new sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme.  For September's sketch I used a photo that my sister took using Snapchat.  I'm not usually a huge fan of social media, but I sure enjoyed the fun effects she made using the app in this picture.  I used lots of beautiful gold accents to go along with the photo.

Here is the beautiful, original sketch from Sketches in Thyme.

If you love to scrapbook, please join us!  Upload your page to our website and you could win a Halloween goodie bag.

Have a wonderful day!

It's time for another great sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme!  Did you know they have new sketches every week?  This month, if you play along, you'll have a chance to win this fabulous set of stamps from Close to My Heart.

Here is this week's sketch made by Shawn Lahr:

For my take on her sketch, I used photos from our trip last month to St. Barts.  This was the gorgeous view from our villa.

Greetings From Orlando Florida

It's time for another awesome sketch challenge from Sketches In Thyme!  I used this month's sketch to make a layout of a trip we took to Orlando with friends.  Here are all the kids hamming it up by the  lazy river.  They were having so much fun!

I did faux stitching around the white clouds and inked up my paper and embellishments in turquoise to add a little more color to the background.  It's that camera embellishment adorable?  It's huge!

Here is the original sketch.  Give it a try and enter it to win a gift certificate to the The Scraproom!  I love The Scraproom and get two of their monthly kits.

Hope you are having a great week!

Aloha Summer

Hello crafters,

This summer is just flying by!  I can't believe it's already July.  It's been so beautiful here and we are definitely taking of advantage of the nice weather.  Today I have a layout featuring my daughter last summer, enjoying the waves in Malibu.  We love spending time there with friends and family.

This collection is Bobunny's Make a Splash collection.  I just love the cut little penguins in it.  The page came together very quickly.

Have a great week!

Spring is in the Air

Good morning, friends.  Today I have a beautiful sketch from Sketches in Thyme to share with you.

I used the sketch to scrap a picture of my lovely daughter.  I just love her smile in this picture.  This was taken right after she got her braces on.  She was so happy to get them on.  I think it made her feel like a big kid.

Make sure to try the Sketches In Thyme sketch challenges this month.  You could win a Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions Circle Cutter and surprise bonus gift.

Have a great day!

Hello Friends

This rainbow of a scrapbook page was inspired by Scrapbook & Cards Magazine.  I absolutely love the colors and it was a great way to use up leftover washi tape and ribbon.  I also added a few flowers and bling to it.

I love the memory behind the picture.  The day was the first day of school, last September.  My friends and I met for coffee immediately after dropping off our kids to their various schools.  I am so glad I have this picture to scrapbook, as I will mostly likely not be able to attend this year, due to working.  But there are always other events and get togethers, so it's all good.  It's ironic that I finally scrapped the picture and posted it with only three days left in the school year.

Remember This

Hello crafters,

Today I have a quick and easy layout I created of my husband and daughter.  The pictures are of when my husband came back from a business trip.  Even though he had only been gone a few days, you can see how happy our daughter was to see him.  It was such a sweet moment.

Because the paper I used for the page was very busy, I kept my embellishments at a minimum and let the photos do the talking.  I layered a few balloons in the left corner using foam adhesive tape.  I also tuck two small doilies behind the photos.

Thanks for stopping by today.
